YAHZ INK NFP develops the whole person. We provide mentorship, opportunities across sports, educational support, creative arts, drawing, multimedia production, DJ training, personal branding, and community outreach for underserved youth and families.
Young people learn to create their identity, express what makes them unique, and build the tools to showcase themselves as athletes, artists, creators, entrepreneurs, builders, and leaders.

Professionally known as DJ Monty
DJ Monty is the founder and CEO of Backspin Mobile Entertainment. With more than 30 years of experience in the DJ industry and deep Chicago roots, he brings professional knowledge, creativity, and performance experience to YAHZ INK NFP.
As a director, he helps strengthen our creative programming and supports hands-on DJ training in equipment basics, beat matching, mixing, transitions, music selection, crowd engagement, performance, and professional DJ branding.

YAHZ INK NFP was established on July 11, 2022. Our completed event work includes organizing and operating wrestling tournaments. As we grow, our events will also create space for other sports, arts, media, youth showcases, and community support.

Who can apply
- Young people ages 16–24
- Chicago or surrounding Cook County residents
- Students or participants in an educational, trade, certification, athletic, arts, media, entrepreneurship, or approved development program
- Applicants who demonstrate financial need, effort, purpose, and a clear plan for the award
YAHZ INK NFP board members, employees, scholarship judges, and their immediate families are not eligible. A recipient may receive only one award within a 12-month period.
